Animal Services

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office provides an Animal Control Officer (ACO) to care for the community's concerns about domestic animals: to protect both people and animals, to help resolve conflicts arising as a result of the two living together, and educate the community about the basic needs of domestic animals - food, water, shelter, heath care, socialization, training, and love for the lifetime of the animal.

The Jefferson County Humane Society operates a non-profit animal shelter. For more information, please see their website at http://jeffersoncountyhumanesociety.org/ .
