A month-long joint investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Port Townsend Police Department into a rash of auto thefts in the City of Port Townsend culminated in two arrests in the Glen Cove area yesterday.

Detective Brett Anglin of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Detective Jason Greenspane of the Port Townsend Police Department worked cooperatively during the investigation of numerous automobile thefts occurring within Port Townsend, which were subsequently located abandoned within the county days later. The joint investigation led to a search warrant being executed at a residence on Stevens Avenue in the Glen Cove area. Over a dozen members of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Port Townsend Police Department, and OPNET task force served the search warrant yesterday afternoon.

The investigation and search warrant led to the arrest of 24 year old Camron Louis Jevne on three counts of Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Stolen Property 1st Degree. 38 year old Mary Ellen Hos was also arrested on scene on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine. Both subjects will be arraigned on August 25th. The investigation is still on-going.
