On April 28th at about 0020 hours The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a possible burglary in progress at The Salon, located in the Kivley Center in Port Hadlock. Sergeant Pernsteiner, Deputy McCarty, and Deputy Menday all responded immediately to the scene and surrounded the building. As Deputies approached the building, they could see a white male attempting to conceal himself inside, holding a pry bar in his hands. The suspect ignored numerous commands to exit the building. The Deputies forced entry, and took the male into custody. The suspect was identified as 44 year-old Eric O. Waldenberg of Port Ludlow.
Waldenberg was transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he provided a written suspect statement. He was booked on charges of Burglary 2nd Degree, Malicious Mischief 2nd Degree, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
