What
We Do For the Community
We shelter
animals who for a number of reasons have no home, or who have
become lost. We provide these animals with food, shelter,
love, and training while we try to find their owner or a new
home.

Provide
a placement service and maintain a file of:
- Animals
in the community who need homes.
- People
in the community who are looking for pets.
From these
lists, we attempt to match up animals with new homes.
Provide
lost & found service and maintain a file of:
- Animals
that are lost.
- Animals
that are found.
From these
lists, we attempt to match up animals.
Provide
an adoption service.
- Animals
who come to the shelter are evaluated for their ability
to love and respond to their human companions. These animals
are made available to families and individuals the demonstrate
they are responsible pet owners.
Provide
emergency services.
- We
are on call 24 hours a day, and are dispatched by the sheriff's
office to deal with bite cases and injured strays. The Sheriff's

Investigate
complaints from individuals in regards to stray dogs, bite
cases, neglect, dangerous animals or other violations of city
and county ordinances. We pick-up dead cats and dogs that
have been killed on city and county public roads.
We rent
humane cat and raccoon traps so individuals can safely remove
feral cats or raccoons from their property.
License
domestic animals. (Dogs are REQUIRED to be licensed in both
the city and county.)
