Critical Areas Committee & Advisory Group

At the August 2, 2006 meeting, the Planning Commission established a Critical Areas Committee and an associated Advisory Group composed of representative stakeholders.

Committee Timeline


The Critical Areas Committee & Advisory Group intends to complete a policy recommendation narrative and proposed code amendments by April 1, 2007. The final reports of the Committee & Advisory Group will be forwarded to the Planning Commission and others for consideration.

In order to address multiple topics under the heading of GMA "critical areas," the Committee & Advisory Group has formed subcommittees that will conduct research and develop preliminary recommendations for consideration by the full group. Meetings


Meetings of the Critical Areas Committee & Advisory Group are Thursdays in the Spruce Room at WSU Extension, Port Hadlock, generally 7 to 9 p.m. or 9:30 p.m.

The Critical Areas Committee & Advisory Group will not be meeting during the holiday season. The meetings will start again on January 4, 2007.
