FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
METHAMPHETAMINE
ARRESTS
September 28, 2004
On
September 27, 2004, at approximately 11:00 PM, Jefferson County
Sheriff’s Office Deputies went to a Bourbon Lane (Port Townsend)
residence, acting on information that a person wanted on an arrest
warrant was there. As they approached the residence, they observed
people inside who appeared to be smoking methamphetamine. They
also observed the subject they were seeking with the arrest warrant.
The following subjects were arrested and have been charged with possession of methamphetamine:
1. Neal D. Hecker, 27 years old, who resided at the residence,
2. Donald J Regan Jr., 27 years old, of Chimacum, and
3. Evan R. Tyrrell, 25 years old, of Port Hadlock.
Tyrrell was also arrested on a Jefferson County District Court arrest warrant for theft 3 and assault 4.
Subsequent to the arrests, deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence and recovered nearly five ounces of suspected methamphetamine, several items of drug paraphernalia and a large number of illegally possessed and stored blasting caps.
The street value of the methamphetamine could be as much as $2,500.00 if sold by the ounce, however, it is most commonly sold in smaller quantities, yielding a higher price.
The
investigation continues and additional charges may be filed at
a later date.
