A misdemeanor inmate, serving is a trustee capacity, escaped from the Jefferson County Jail in Port Hadlock late Friday evening. The 18 year old inmate, Joseph S. King, was serving a 60 day sentence for several traffic offences. He was placed in custody on February 13, 2004 and would have been released in April.
King’s
last known address was in the 200 block of Thomas Street in Port
Townsend. He was observed in that area as late as 9 AM on Saturday
morning. King is not considered dangerous, but anyone with information
as to his whereabouts should contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s
Office. When apprehended, King will be charged with Escape –
3rd Degree.
