FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 24, 2003 Deputy Civil Service Examination The Jefferson County Civil Service Commission has announced that they will be testing for Deputy Sheriff. Although there are not currently any vacancies, an eligibility list will be developed as the result of this testing process. The deadline for applications is April 9th and will require a $25.00 application fee. Testing will be conducted on Saturday, April 19th at 9:00 AM. Individuals qualifying as "lateral entry" will not be required to take some portions of the exam. For
