FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 10, 2003 Death Investigation RE: Case #03-0583 On February 8, 2003, at approx. 11:23 AM, JEFFCOM communications officers received a 911 call reporting a possible deceased individual at a residence on Somerville Road in Chimacum, Jefferson County, Washington. Responding Sheriff's Deputies and aid personnel discovered 16-year-old Shane Luther deceased next to his vehicle. Subsequent investigation determined that Luther had attended a party in the area the night before at which alcohol was served. An autopsy was performed on February 9, 2003. There was no evidence of trauma. Cause of death is pending toxicology results. The case is under investigation.
