VINELink (Victim Information and Notification Everyday) is a national service which allows crime victims and other concerned citizens to obtain timely and reliable information about criminal cases and the custody status of offenders 24 hours a day. Victims and other concerned citizens can register to be notified by phone, email, text message (SMS) or TTY device when an offender’s custody status changes. To register regarding the custody of an inmate at the Thurston County Corrections Facility go to the Jail Roster or Jump to In-Custody Inmates:
- Enter the inmate’s last name and click Search
- Click on the inmate’s name
- Click the VINELink box and follow the instructions on screen

WHAT IS IT?
An on-line reporting option for filing a report with Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. It can be accessed on your home computer by going to: www.jeffersonsheriff.org and clicking the link or by visiting the Sheriff’s Office and using the computer kiosk in the lobby.

WHO SHOULD USE IT?
If you want to report a crime that is not happening right now, that happened in Jefferson County, and you do not have a suspect you can use this option to make your report. If the answer is yes to all three of these conditions, you may use Self-Reporting. You must have an email address in order to Self-Report. Crimes that you may self-report include:
- Fraud or Identity Theft where you have no suspect
- Harassing Phone Calls from an unknown suspect
- Hit and Run Accident with no injuries and no information on the other driver
- Lost or Found Property
- Malicious Mischief such as mailbox knocked over, keying of vehicle
- Motor Vehicle Accident where a deputy did not respond at the time of accident
- Theft of your Property and the value is $1500 or less
- Traffic Complaint such as speeding that is no longer in progress
WHY SHOULD YOU USE IT?
In recent years the Sheriff’s Office has been called on to respond to increased calls with fewer deputies. Because deputies are dispatched to more urgent calls first, citizens calling for service on something that is no longer happening and/or where there is no suspect often have to wait to speak with a deputy. The ability to go on-line or file a report on the computer kiosk in the Sheriff’s lobby is a convenience to those citizens and allows deputies to be available for calls for something that is occurring now that may pose an immediate risk to public safety.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
You log on to the Self-Reporting form on your computer at home or the computer in the Sheriff’s Lobby, select the type of report you want to file, and fill out the information in the boxes. When you have completed the form, you click the submit button. If you are entering the information on your home computer, you have the option to print a copy of what you have submitted. This is not a case report or incident report. There will be a reference number on your printout. You do not have the option to print a copy of what you have submitted if you are entering the information in the Sheriff’s lobby. If you use this option, you may want to write down your reference number. The Captain on duty the morning after you submit your information will review it, approve it, and assign a case number. When your information has been assigned a case number, our system will send you an email telling you the case number. If necessary, a deputy may contact you to request follow up information.
If you need a copy of your incident report, once you have received your case number you may call (360) 385-3831 option 0 or come in to the Sheriff’s office to make a records request for your report.

DO NOT USE SELF-REPORTING IF:
- You have an emergency---Dial 9-1-1
- The crime is happening now
- You know or suspect you know who did it
- Your crime happened outside of Jefferson County
- Stolen property is worth more than $1500
- You are not the victim of the crime
- The crime happened on a State Highway (call State Patrol)

Project Lifesaver’s mission is to use state-of-the-art technology in assisting those who care for victims of Alzheimer’s and other Related Mental Dysfunction Disorders (ARMD) and victims who become lost.
Victims of AMDR tend to wander from their homes. The project places radio transmitters on identified persons with ARMD. These transmitters assist caregivers and local emergency agencies in locating those who cannot help themselves.

Items get picked up on a regular, periodic basis. Propertyroom.com lists and runs auctions continuously, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
